Before treatment, a lot of patients will make assumptions about what to expect. Some of these will be correct but a lot of times they’re very wrong.

There’s plenty of myths and false facts out there regarding braces and orthodontic treatment. So we’re here to set the record straight and break down the barriers.

How to Look After your Braces during Lockdown 0

As many of you know, our practice is currently closed due to the government led lockdown for Coronavirus. 

However, we are still available for support and guidance for ongoing treatment or emergency orthodontic issues over the phone on 0161 998 2622.

Since our patients are no longer able to come for routine care, we’ve collated some useful tips in the meantime to support you during self-isolation.

How Effective are Braces for Adults? 0

At Northenden House Orthodontics, we don’t only offer treatment to children under 18 years old. We have plenty of orthodontic treatments available to adults ranging from lingual braces to Invisalign. Many of the orthodontic appliances are still just as effective as they are for children, with the length of treatment taking only a little longer.

Can my child have Invisible braces on the NHS? 0

If you feel that you or your child are unhappy with how their teeth look or function your first port of call is your dentist.  If you don’t have a dentist we would recommend registering with one locally so you are able to attend for regular examinations.  Your dentist will then be able to discuss your concerns and identify whether it is an issue that can be corrected by an orthodontist or not.
