Is Invisalign treatment a long process?
Invisalign is becoming more and more popular within the industry after developing technologies allow it to deliver more and receiving fantastic reviews from clinicians and patients. The Invisalign aligners are a very discreet and efficient way of providing perfectly straight teeth as they are a custom made appliance.
Invisalign aligners are replaced every 2 weeks by a new aligner, this is how treatment progresses. How long this treatment takes depends on how frequently you have been wearing your aligners and the severity of your malocclusion. You should wear them for a minimum of 22 hours a day, however, if you don’t wear them for at least 22 hours then you must make up the hours over the following days.
This treatment is perfect for those who are in the public eye or simply want to smile without worrying about showing their braces. Many television personalities have had Invisalign treatment and you would never know!
Treatment length is wholly based around treatment complexity and the expectation of the result it will hopefully deliver, each treatment plan is bespoke and we would aim to complete treatment between 9 and 16 months.
